Concert Notes

The musical traditions of Latin America reflect the distinctive mixtures of Native American, African, and European influences that have circulated through the region for centuries. While most people can readily identify the dance-based popular music, the rich tapestry of art music created by Latin American composers frequently is overlooked. The NSS will introduce several of these works in our season opening concert, "Caliente!"

NOTE: NSS concerts typically last around two hours, including a 15-minute intermission.
